As part of the CREDIT Vibes Project staff exchange, Marija Kostadinović from the Maize Research Institute (MRI), Serbia, delivered an invited lecture on May 15 at the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia (KIS). The event, titled “Soybean and Maize Research at MRI, Belgrade, Serbia”, gathered researchers and staff for a day of knowledge exchange and scientific discussion.

Marija’s presentation, “Marker Assisted Selection for the Improvement of Maize Protein Quality”, showcased her ongoing research at MRI, focusing on how molecular tools can enhance nutritional traits in maize. She also shared future research directions and project goals.
The lecture was well-received, sparking a constructive and engaging discussion among participants, and strengthening the collaborative ties between MRI and KIS. This event underscored the importance of sharing expertise across institutions and highlighted the value of staff exchanges in driving innovation in plant breeding and genetics.
