Improving the knowledge and skills of the MRI’s employees in terms of knowledge and application elements of the HR strategy

As part of the implementation of the Human Resources Management Strategy of the Maize Research Institute “Zemun Polje” there was organized four-day training for the managers of all level.
Four-day training contained elements of the HR Strategy, with several blocks:

  • Performance management system – the concept, purpose, principles, features and benefits of PM, setting goals at different levels with potential risk.
  • Feedback – instruction for giving and receiving, positive and constructive feedback,
  • SWOT analysis and STAR technique- preparing and giving feedback.
  • Competencies and skills, setting goals – communication and interpersonal skills, cooperation and teamwork.
  • Talent management and succession planning – Identifying skills and talents crucial to the strategy, linking Institute’s and Talent strategy, talent acquisition, retaining and maximum potential developing.

During this four-day training, the participants received written material and manuals, presented through ppt presentation. There were performed exercises for the participants, so they can use it at the workplace after the training. After lectures and interactive discussion, there were case study analysis and solving specific problems.
Training provider was HR CENTER with training schedule: May 31 st , June 8 th , 12 th and 16 th 2023.
