A Two-day training for writing the IP strategy was held in Maize Research Institute on the 2nd and 3rd of November with Helena Valas (INVENIAM). The goal of the training was to prepare the MRI team to start drafting and adopting a common institute strategy. The workshops included analysis of Q&A sessions based on the data collected and analyzed during the preparatory phase.
Objectives of the training were outlining existing state of the art in the field of IPR management, custom made material based on the data collected and analyzed during the preparatory phase, preparation of the whole team to start drafting and adopting a common institute strategy in the field of management of the research results and related IPRs, checking-up clarity of the delivered materials and audience comprehension.
Training was divided in four phases including data collection, preparation, execution and evaluation. Initial meetings with the internal stakeholders were held with interviews with pre-send questions and analysis of existing IP processes.
Preparation included interactive workshop/lecture materials with focus on IPR management strategy of the institute, data collection on the IPR management strategy of the Institute and preparation of handout material. Roll out of strategic planning lecture for all stakeholders was held together with workshops with institute employees.


The training ended with analysis of Q&A sessions at the workshops and collected evaluation form with delivery of a short oral report to the institute stakeholders.
