Strengthening Collaboration through Staff Exchange: MRI Team Member Visits Agricultural Institute of Slovenia

As part of the #CREDITVibes staff exchange program, Iva Savić from the Maize Research Institute (MRI) recently visited the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia (KIS). This exchange marks another important milestone in the CREDIT Vibes Project, which is dedicated to building capacities and enhancing skills among both researchers and non-research staff.

During her time at KIS, Iva had the opportunity to work closely with the Project Management Office, gaining valuable insights into the administrative and operational aspects of managing EU-funded research projects. This hands-on experience provided her with practical knowledge in project coordination, reporting procedures, and dissemination and communication skills essential for effective research support and international collaboration.

In addition, Iva attended the 3rd Capacity Building Seminar titled Carbon Farming CE, held at the Agricultural Institute in Jablje, Mengeš. The seminar focused on innovative and sustainable approaches to carbon farming and soil quality, featuring presentations from the Carbon 4 Soil Quality initiative, led by project partners at KIS. The event offered a unique perspective on sustainable soil management and emphasized the importance of climate-smart agricultural practices.

The visit also included participation in the Meeting of Research Managers and Administrators (RMA), hosted at the Atrij ZRC SAZU in Ljubljana. This meeting brought together project partners and research support professionals from across the CREDIT Vibes consortium to exchange experiences and explore strategies for improving research infrastructure and administration.

The staff exchange exemplifies the CREDIT Vibes Project’s mission to foster knowledge-sharing, strengthen partnerships, and promote scientific excellence through mobility and targeted training. Experiences like these not only improve individual competencies but also build a stronger foundation for future collaboration and innovation across European research institutions.
