In the organization of the Department for Agricultural Technology of the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, with the co-organization of the Cooperative Union of Vojvodina, Importers and Exporters of Agricultural Machinery of Serbia, the Association of New Generation Farmers, the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, the Symposium “Agro – Technology Precision agriculture” was held for the 51st time in the hotel “Bor” on Zlatibor, from January 28 to 30, with numerous lectures, round tables and panel discussions.
Within the section “Drones and navigation devices in agriculture” the latest results of the CREDIT Vibes Project on the control of corn borer (Ostrinia nubilalis) using drones were presented. Drones ensure the best and fastest distribution of the Trichogramma egg capsules, which makes them an ideal tool for the biological control of these insects. The results were presented by Tamara Popović from BioSense Institute.

The rest of the team responsible for this research consists of Aleksandar Ivezić (BioSense Institute), Filip Franeta and Anja Đurić (Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops), Miloš Rajković (The Institute for Medicinal Plant Research „Dr. Josif Pančić“), Marko Kostić (Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad), Boris Savović (DronSpray d.o.o.), Ivan Postolovski (Balkan Biotek), Kristina Petrović and Miodrag Tolimir (Maize Research Institute).
